March 8 was International Women’s Day and to celebrate the women of HRDF, we asked some of our leaders their thoughts on balance and what it means to them. Listening to their answers, guided by their very own experience in the world was not only inspiring but refreshing and relatable to so many of us.
The 2019 theme for International Women’s Day was “Balance for the Better”. The theme aims to get people to talking about balance which drives a better working world. Viewing balance as not just a women issue pushes the conversation further, getting people to talk about the importance of a gender-balanced boardroom, a gender-balanced government, gender-balanced media coverage, a gender-balance of employees and more.
As an effort in strengthening the Nation’s Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) curricular landscape and simultaneously prepare for the Industrial Revolution (IR) 4.0, an MoU was signed between HRDF, Jabatan Tenaga Manusia (JTM), Penang Skills Development Centre (PSDC) and First Solar.
