Summary: This scheme enables employers to purchase personal computers to set up a Computer-Based Training Unit.
INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND COMPUTER-AIDED TRAINING SCHEME
This scheme enables employers to purchase personal computers to set up a Computer-Based Training Unit. Prior approval of PSMB is required for such purchases. This scheme is to complement the Computer-Based Training Scheme.
Under the scheme, employers are allowed to purchase multimedia personal computers, subject to a maximum of RM25,000.00, once in every 3 years.
Employers are also eligible to receive additional financial assistance for the purchase of personal computers, subject to a maximum of RM25,000.00, once to establish Computer Based Training Unit for one branch per year. The approved branch can apply for the next purchase once every three years. Approval will still be subjected to employers’ levy balance at the time of the application.
With effect from 1st January 2010, all applications must be submitted via the Internet through the PSMB portal. Submission of application must be made prior to the purchase of the computers.
HOW TO APPLY
· Fill up form the online application form PSMB/IT/1/01 thru Employer Information System (EIS) · Attach the relevant supporting documents with 1 quotation from 1 supplier on the same computer brand and model.
HOW TO CLAIM
· Fill up form PSMB/IT/1/01 · Attach receipts and detailed invoices to support the claims.
